Open a .epub file step by step
- Confirm the file really is a .epub. Drop it into the WhatFileType file identifier, which reads its signature without uploading anything.
- On Windows, open it with Calibre or Edge.
- On Mac, use Apple Books or Calibre.
- On Linux, try Calibre or Foliate.
- Still stuck? Convert the .epub to PDF, which opens more widely.
